Discourse of S.W. Richards, delivered in the Tabernacle, 1854, October 29.

Negative photocopy of a discourse delivered by Samuel Whitney Richards. Focuses on his mission to England and Scotland with Bishop Smook and Elder Willard Snow, which began in 1851. He includes references to his trips to Paris and Switzerland and the death of the President of the Mormon mission in Denmark. Richards also remarks on other Mormon missions, including those to the Cape of Good Hope, and talks of Mormon emigration under the P.E. Fund. He also briefly references his printing and publishing business. Probably in the handwriting of reporter J.V. Long. Also included are a blank page with the heading "Luzenberg Hospital, New Orleans, May 11, 1854" and the text of a song entitled "Goose Creek Melody," with the notation "militia called by Col. [George M.] Hinckle - Samuel W. Richards."
